  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 2 tsp rose water

  1. In a medium saucepan, warm the heavy cream and milk over medium heat until just below boiling.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick.
  3. Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture while whisking continuously to prevent curdling.

  5. Remove from heat, stir in rose water and salt, then let cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
