  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, minced dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Peel the cucumber in stripes for visual appeal and slice it thinly using a mandoline or knife.
  3. Trim the crusts off the bread slices and spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on each slice.
  4. Layer the sliced cucumbers on half of the bread slices and sprinkle with cracked pepper and additional dill if desired.
