1 pound lean ground turkey
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger root
1 small can pineapple slices (reserve juice)
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
Thick teriyaki sauce

Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, dry bread crumbs, bell pepper, green onion, ginger root, reserved pineapple juice, and salt. Mix gently until well combined.
Shape the mixture into four large patties and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
During the last two minutes of grilling, baste the patties with teriyaki sauce for added flavor.
Serve hot on chicken hamburger buns with grilled pineapple if desired.
