  • 910 tablespoons room-temperature water
  • gel food coloring
  • optional: sanding sugar sprinkles and star sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cream softened butter and sugar until smooth; add egg and extracts.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Chill the dough for 1-2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and bake shaped cookies for 11-12 minutes.
  6. Prepare royal icing and decorate cooled cookies.
