  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp non-alcoholic Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by browning ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent, then stir in mushrooms until softened. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  2. For the crust, mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then add cold water to form dough. Divide into two portions, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out one dough portion to fit your pie dish and fill with the beef mixture. Cover with the second rolled dough portion. Trim edges and crimp to seal. Cut vents in the top crust.
  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool slightly before serving.
