Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1 1/2 ounces almond milk
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup unbleached flour (sifted)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 5 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons homemade caramel sauce
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your pie-style pan by greasing it with butter and dusting it with flour.
  2. Sift together the unbleached flour and almond flour in a medium bowl; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, brown sugar, and cane sugar until well combined. Add almond milk and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually incorporate the sifted flours along with cinnamon, baking powder, and salt into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in diced apple cubes gently into the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan evenly.
  7. Create a rosette pattern on top using thinly sliced apples, starting from the outer edge and overlapping each slice slightly.
  8. Drizzle homemade salted caramel over the apple slices and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
