  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese (or Gorgonzola for a milder taste)
  • ¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Halve the pears lengthwise and remove the core using a scoop.
  4. Brush the cut surfaces with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  5. Place the pears cut-side up on the tray and bake for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  6. Remove from oven and fill each pear cavity with blue cheese and walnuts.
