  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounces)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta
  • 1 can kidney beans (15.5 ounces)
  • 1 can cannellini beans (15.5 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion, celery, and carrot; mince the garlic.
  2. Rinse and drain the kidney and cannellini beans under cold water.
  3. In a large pot over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through.
  4. Add the chopped onion, celery, and carrot; cook for about 5 minutes before adding garlic and Italian seasoning.
  5. Pour in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and ditalini pasta; bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for approximately 7 minutes before adding rinsed beans.
  7. Cook until pasta is tender—about another 5-8 minutes.
