  • 2 mild chicken sausages (casings removed)
  • 4 cups broth
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 TBSP ketchup
  • 1 carrot (julienned)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup Ditalini pasta
  • 1/2 can red kidney beans
  • 1/2 can white beans
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the diced onion until translucent.
  2. Add chicken sausage and cook until browned, then mix in garlic and carrot.
  3. Pour in broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and ketchup; stir well.
  4. Bring to a boil; add Ditalini pasta, beans, basil, celery seed, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Reduce heat to simmer for about 20 minutes or until pasta is tender.
