  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ⅓ cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

  1. In a stand mixer or large bowl, beat together the room-temperature butter, white sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and egg yolk along with vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder on low speed.
  4. Gently fold in white chocolate chips.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 45–60 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
