  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (plus more for topping)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese with sugar until well-combined. Add one egg and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture over this layer and top with the remaining brownie batter; swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top and drizzle with caramel sauce.
