  • 3 to 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 (10.5-oz) cans unsalted cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

  1. Spray a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, onion powder, garlic powder, melted butter, and chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture over the seasoned chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for about 5 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  4. Shred the cooked chicken using two forks and return it to the crockpot.
  5. Cut each biscuit into eight pieces and sprinkle over the top of the chicken mixture. Cover and cook on HIGH for another hour until the dumplings are fluffy.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cracked pepper and parsley if desired.
