Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken in half lengthwise; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms; cook until softened (5-6 minutes). Stir in minced garlic.
  4. Add white apple vinegar to deglaze the pan; let bubble for 2-3 minutes until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
