  • 2 rings (13 ounces each) turkey kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) Great Northern white beans, rinsed and drained
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil. Add sliced turkey kielbasa and brown on both sides for about 7-9 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt the butter. Add chopped onion, diced carrots, garlic, salt, and pepper; sauté until onion is translucent (about 10-12 minutes).
  3. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir well; cook for another minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and milk, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return browned kielbasa to the pot along with rinsed beans; stir gently.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until thickened.
