  • 4 ounces cream cheese (113g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (210g)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and mix until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  7. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls; place on the prepared baking sheet two inches apart.
  8. Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
