  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well; then stir in flour and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, both sugars, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add to the banana mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the banana batter into each pan; top with cream cheese mixture followed by remaining banana batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool before slicing.
