  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water; let it sit until foamy.
  2. Stir in salt, oil, and two cups of flour. Gradually add more flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth, then place it in a greased bowl to rise for one hour.
  4. After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into 16 pieces. Shape each piece into a bone shape.
  5. Place on a baking sheet to rise again for about an hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the breadsticks for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese before serving with marinara sauce.
